I EGRUPE - 2017
The event took place on December 5th, 2018, at the premises of the Foundation School of the Public Ministry. The event aims to foster internal dialogue between faculty and students from the Stricto Sensu Graduate Programs in Law at FMP, UNISC, UNIVALI, and UNESC, thus contributing to the improvement of research projects under development within the research lines of their respective programs, as well as to the exchange of knowledge and relationships between researchers from the participating institutions. It also seeks to encourage interaction between professors and master’s students and undergraduate Law students.
Working Group 01 – Public Policies in Fundamental Rights and Jurisdiction: Changing Interconnections. This working group aims to discuss topics related to public policies in human rights, judicial activism, and constitutional jurisdiction in this area, always evaluating concrete cases – including international ones, with our partners – for the exchange of experiences and comparative law studies.
Working Group 02 – State, Market, and Society: Equations of Balance. This working group aims to address the complex problems affecting the current Risk Society we live in, especially issues involving diffuse and collective rights at local, regional, national, and international levels, some of them intensely interconnected, and the solutions that the Law has to propose.
Working Group 03 – Public Safety and Criminal Policy: The Expansion of Penal Intervention in Contemporary Society. This working group aims to explore the theme of the expansion of penal intervention through material and procedural means, influenced by new risks and security demands specific to the current Risk Society we live in, addressing local, regional, national, and international issues, some of them intensely interconnected, and the solutions that the Law has to propose.
