National Seminar – Tutelage to the Enforcement of Unconditional Rights

Thematic Axis

The thematic axis Tutelage to the Enforcement of Transindividual Rights comprises the following themes:

1. Fundamental rights and jurisdiction;
2. Consumer protection as a fundamental Constitutional guarantee;
3. Transparency and participation in public management;
4. Urban sustainability: institutes and enforcement mechanisms;
5. Procedural guarantees of the transindividual assets.

On the other hand, the thematic axis Tutelage to the Enforcement of Unconditional Public Rights covers the following subjects:

1. Multiculturalism, Constitution and Criminal Law;
2. Fundamental right to security and the right to freedom;
3. Corruptive pathologies and unconditional public interests;
4. Tensional relations between market, State, and society;
5. Procedural guarantees of unconditional public assets.

Working Groups

For each of these thematic axes, there is a GT (Working Group) and a panel for lectures and debates with Brazilian guest professors. Researchers from the RS and other states may submit articles to present their scientific investigations inserted in the themes of the event. To ensure the integrity of the evaluation process, the articles are evaluated by two doctoral professors, observing formal and material aspects, through the double-blind peer review system. The researchers who receive the best evaluations present their research in the GTs when there is a specific evaluation for oral communication (also considering formal and material aspects), performed by committees formed by two doctoral professors who are responsible for the Coordination of activities and public debates.

Results

The results of the National Seminar Tutelage to the Enforcement of Unconditional Public Rights are consolidated through the publication of annals gathering the works of guest professors that have participated in the panels, as well as the articles of the researchers, students, and professors, selected after the presentation of their studies in the GTs. And with the scope of maximizing the impact of the investigations, the annals are published in e-book format and made available for free access on the website of the FMP.
